Our MX-M200 series automatic centerless grinder is a versatile tool used for the precision grinding of cylindrical components in the manufacturing industry.

 

The MX-M200 features an intelligent closed-loop control system. Its fully closed-loop feedback system that compensates for thermal deformation and mechanical errors in real time, while the adaptive grinding algorithm enhances consistency. It supports CBN/diamond superhard grinding wheels. When combined with an intelligent dressing system, it significantly improves the grinding ratio (G ratio) and surface quality.

Application Range of CNC Centerless Grinder Machine

 

CNC centerless grinder machines are highly adaptable, capable of grinding almost all metallic materials and some non-metallic materials, but require the use of suitable grinding wheels (alumina, CBN, diamond, etc.).

 

1. Ferrous Metals - Most Common

Carbon steel and alloy steel: such as 45 steel, 40Cr steel, GCr15 bearing steel.

* Applications: Shafts, bearing rollers, piston pins.

* Grinding wheels: Commonly used are brown fused alumina (A) or white fused alumina (WA); CBN can be used for high efficiency.

 

Cast iron: such as gray cast iron, ductile iron.

* Applications: Engine camshaft journals, hydraulic components.

 

Stainless steel: such as 304, 316, 17-4PH.

* Challenges: High viscosity, poor thermal conductivity, easily burns workpieces.

* Solutions: Use grinding wheels with high sharpness (such as single-crystal fused alumina SA) and strong cooling.

 

Tool steel/die steel: such as Cr12MoV steel, H13 steel.

* Characteristics: High hardness, difficult to grind.

 

2. Non-Ferrous Metals

Aluminum alloys: such as 6061, 7075.

* Challenge: Extremely prone to wheel clogging (chip adhesion).

* Solution: Use loosely structured grinding wheels or specialized grinding wheels, combined with high-pressure cooling and flushing.

 

Copper alloys: brass, bronze.

* Applications: Valve cores, connector pins.

 

Titanium alloys: such as Ti-6Al-4V.

* Challenge: Extremely poor thermal conductivity, high chemical reactivity, extremely prone to burning and adhesion.

* Solution: Low linear speed grinding, specialized grinding wheels, and abundant coolant.

 

3. Hard Materials

Tungsten Carbide: such as YT15, YG8.

* Applications: Tool holders, mining drill bits, sealing rings.

* Grinding Wheel: Diamond grinding wheels must be used.

 

Engineering Ceramics: such as zirconium oxide (ZrO2), alumina (Al2O3), silicon nitride (Si3N4).

* Applications: Medical devices (bone screws), electronic circuit boards, pump seals.

* Grinding Wheel: Diamond grinding wheels must be used, and high-speed electric spindles are usually required.

 

4. Other Special Materials

* Composite Materials: Carbon fiber reinforced plastics, etc. (Special processes are required to prevent delamination).

* Magnetic Materials: Neodymium iron boron, etc. (Demagnetization issues must be considered).
