Product Introduction
MINGXU CNC centerless grinding machines are state-of-the-art equipment that provide precision grinding solutions to various industries. These multi-axis CNC precision centerless grinder machines are designed to offer high accuracy, reliability, and flexibility in handling different materials. With the innovative technologies incorporated in CNC centerless grinding machines, they can perform continuous and precise grinding of cylindrical workpieces with minimal operator assistance. The high-efficiency centerless grinder machines are equipped with a fully automated control system that can be programmed to suit specific requirements and workpiece dimensions.
Low-vibration Spindle System: It is equipped with hydrostatic or magnetic levitation spindles, achieving rotational speed fluctuations ≤0.1% to ensure high surface finish (Ra ≤ 0.1μm).
High-speed Grinding Capability: The grinding wheel can achieve linear speeds exceeding 120m/s, along with rapid feed rates (≥1m/min) to significantly reduce the machining time per part.

Key Features of CNC Centerless Grinding Machines
1. Overall Form
• Compact Integrated Housing Structure:
* Our CNC centerless grinding machines utilize a fully or semi-enclosed sheet metal housing. The rectangular or slightly curved streamlined housing gives a robust and stable impression.
* This design is not only for aesthetics but also for safety (preventing grinding wheel breakage and ejection), sound insulation, and collecting oil mist/coolant splashes.
• Low Center of Gravity Design:
* Due to the extremely high stability required in the grinding process, the machine base is typically very wide and heavy, giving the machine a visually stable "base." The moderate height facilitates operator observation and loading/unloading.
• Modular Layout:
* From left to right, three areas are typically clearly visible: the loading area (automatic feeding mechanism), the grinding area (inside the transparent viewing window), and the unloading area (finished product output or robotic arm).
2. Key Visual Components
• HMI Console
* Location: Typically located at the front right or side of the machine tool, ergonomically designed for right-handed operation. Height adjustable or tiltable for comfortable standing operation.
* Appearance: Equipped with a large color touchscreen (15-21 inches), surrounded by a clean physical button area (emergency stop button, mode switch, feed hold, etc.).
* Style: Modern interface, similar to smartphone operation logic. The casing is typically dark gray or black matte material, fingerprint-resistant and oil-resistant.
• Observation Window
* Location: Directly facing the grinding area (between the grinding wheel and guide wheel).
* Material: High-strength explosion-proof glass or polycarbonate sheet.
* Functional Design:
Lighting: High-brightness LED cool light above or inside the window ensures the operator can clearly see tiny workpieces and grinding sparks.
Cleaning: Some high-end models are equipped with wipers or an air curtain blowing system to prevent coolant and oil mist from obstructing vision.
Sliding Door/Safety Door: Equipped with a safety interlock device; opening the door stops the machine. The door handle is ergonomically designed.
• Grinding Zone
Through the viewing window, the core rotating components are visible:
* Grinding Wheel (left side): Typically large, grayish-white or black (specific color depends on the abrasive). At high speeds, due to the persistence of vision, it appears as a stationary, blurry disk.
* Guide Roller (right side): Slightly smaller than the grinding wheel, its surface may have a rubbery or metallic sheen. Its function is to drive the workpiece.
* Support Plate: Located below the two wheels, it is a thin, long carbide strip that supports the workpiece.
* Dresser: Mounted above or to the side of the grinding wheel, it is a small diamond tool mechanism that dresses the grinding wheel.
• Automation Interface
* Left or rear: Typically connects to a vibratory feeder (funnel-shaped, used for sorting small parts), belt conveyor, or robotic arm base.
* Right side: Features a finished product chute or robotic arm loading station.
* These auxiliary devices usually coordinate with the main unit's color, creating a cohesive visual effect for the entire production line.
3. Color & Finish
• Primary Color Scheme:
* Off-White: The most common, appears clean and bright, easily detects oil leaks, suitable for cleanrooms (e.g., medical, electronics industries).
* Dark Grey: Appears sophisticated and professional, resistant to dirt, commonly found in heavy industry or automotive parts production lines.
* Brand Color Accents: Many brands use their signature colors (e.g., blue, orange, red) as accents on corners, handles, or logos to enhance brand recognition.
• Surface Treatment:
* Electrostatic powder coating, resulting in a smooth, even surface with excellent corrosion resistance (resistance to coolant corrosion) and scratch resistance.
* Internal areas in direct contact with coolant are typically treated with a special anti-corrosion coating or equipped with a stainless steel liner.
4. Details & Signage
• Warning Signs: Prominent yellow and black stripes are placed near moving parts; the red emergency stop button features a high-contrast design to ensure operational visibility.
• Liquid Level Monitoring: Both the coolant and lubricating oil tanks are equipped with transparent level gauges for easy real-time monitoring of liquid levels.
• Chip Removal and Filtration System: Chip removal interfaces are located on the side/back of the unit, allowing connection to magnetic separators or paper tape filters to effectively maintain equipment cleanliness.
• Nameplate and Logo: Laser-engraved or metal nameplates display the model, power, and manufacturer information, typically in a prominent location.
5. Appearance Differences in Different Scenarios
| Application Scenarios | Appearance Characteristics |
|
General Purpose (Automotive/Bearings): |
Larger size, fully enclosed sheet metal, emphasizing rigidity and protection, mostly dark gray or blue and white color scheme, with a large chip conveyor. |
|
Precision (Medical/Electronics): |
More refined design, relatively compact size, extensive use of white or light gray, emphasizing cleanliness, often integrating microscopes or high-precision measuring instruments, resembling laboratory equipment. |
|
Heavy-Duty (Rolls/Spindles): |
More open or semi-open structures (due to the large size of the workpiece), huge exposed bed, emphasizing load-bearing structure, thick paint, giving a rugged and powerful feel. |
| Miniature Special Purpose Machines: | Desktop or small cabinet type, large proportion of fully transparent protective cover for observing the machining of micron-level parts, compact and agile design. |
