Key Moving Components of CNC Centerless Grinding Machine

 

Spindles (Grinding Wheel Head/Guide Wheel Head)

* Material: Utilizing alloy structural steel (such as 40Cr, 38CrMoAlA steel) after nitriding treatment, its surface hardness can reach 950~1200HV, equivalent to 65~72HRC, far exceeding that of the carburized and quenched layer. The nitrided layer not only has high hardness but also excellent wear resistance and friction reduction properties.

* Bearings: Ultra-precision rolling bearings, such as P4 and P2 grades, have extremely high precision standards. The radial runout error of P4 grade bearings is 2-4μm, and the axial runout error is 5-7μm, while the radial runout error of P2 grade bearings is 1-2μm, and the axial runout error is 2-5μm. These bearings are commonly used in applications with extremely stringent error requirements, such as the medical and aerospace fields. Hydrostatic bearings utilize oil film support to achieve contactless operation and provide the highest precision.

 

Guideways

* Hard Ways: Cast iron guideways with plastic coating or hardened steel, offering high rigidity and heavy load capacity.

* Linear Guides: High-precision grinding-grade linear guides, with low friction and high speed, commonly used for the feed axis.

* Hydrostatic Guides: Used in ultra-heavy-duty or ultra-high-precision models, featuring oil film floating and zero friction.

 

Work Rest Blade

* Material: Carbide (tungsten steel) or high-speed steel.

* Function: Directly supports the workpiece; it must be wear-resistant and have a smooth surface to prevent scratches.

* Stainless steel or galvanized steel plate: Used for protective covers, rust-proof and corrosion-resistant, and easy to clean grinding waste fluid.
